Peter Galastar Artist Review

I happen to know Peter well enough to have journeyed with him through the turbulent ups and downs of his music and artist experiences and he has always asked for my honest opinion. I have always believed in him and I think his recent work is a showcase of how gifted he really is! His brilliance in “The Owl” I loved, but it was not his personally favorite work and he has not promoted that thus far. I think Peter’s “Lizard Master” and “Beets for the streets” both showcase the diversity and styles of music he is capable of creating. His Independent pieces and “Big Girls Took Care Of Him” are also so contrasting and talented it makes you feel like you are listening to 3 or 4 different artist and vocalist. Just in case your wondering I am not one of the “Big Girls”! I am looking forward to his new work coming in 2012 and wish him success in whatever he does. Peter Galastar is a mecca of creative talent, wonderful abstract ideas, as an artist he is an absolute genius, just waiting to be tapped into, enjoyed and published in the right form !

lets play with feelings

2020 Emotional feelings. I am on the edge yet the edge extends as I ponder wether or not the experience is what I can handle. I can be both me and you, but I can feel even more of us in the trinity, I can experience more of you with emotion than with anything else. I have been tought to think, to analyze, to evaluate, judge, and decide. Such objective points along a path that just leads back to the starting point, over and over the cycle again and again and like a dog chasing his tail it is all a lost cause. We got it, we did it, we made it, we have it, yet we really have nothing more than another step in the same circle. Stop going, and just experience me, for even one minute for that minute might just be the greatest of all. I am not the object or the means or the path or the answer yet together we can experience what is you and what I am.

All is predicted, forecast, awaited in anxiety, as masses are thrust into lines of machine like behavior. Of course we are becoming machines but not by anything other than our own action or lack of experience in presence. To point the blame on others as if the victim was always the mascot of the media make for the best of distractions and emotional hooks that pull one further from reality. These weapons of the mind have obligated others to stand for there divided side and call to any who might join in the persecution of anyone outside their own divide, yet inside they know this is a house of cards and soon the true face of reality will be revealed, but not before the next curtain is thrown to cast a heavier shadow on the lost. Yes indeed Virtual Reality is the glittering purple dust that races through the magic wind and slips beneath your feet to help you fly faster to the fantasy of your desire. Wherever you end up is beyond the shadows and beyond the tangible earth you were given so be mindful and be strong its only what everyone can imagine.

Even the defensive stance you take as you know I am with you but cant see me yet is the illusion to yourself that somehow your container is held onto. The emptiness is half real but that is only because you agree to this concept,…or do you? You don’t see and you don’t say, you don’t know and seeing eye to eye seems so outdated. …so where do we go from here? she traced the rim of her very short skirt with her newly painted bright pink nails, slightly revealing the straps to her thigh high stockings. The girl listens and then she wears that plaid shirt and jeans and its all mud and meat and warm yellow light in the barn house. Its not just fascinating its downright marvelous. Y’all don’t no how much of that back to basics good ole home loving I really crave along with making my tractor driving man a big stack of flap jack pancakes with home made butter and syrup from Auntie Kelly’s. Wow I can dream of being a princess with a huge closet of shoes and diamonds and fine vacations but I think in the end I would choose to be a real world cow girl if given the chance. Am I crazy to think that riding horses, the smell of leather, home made pies, and listening to the deep country voice of my imaginary cowboy are just as good as it gets?

Grease and Dust

Do you know the smell of old oil and rust, grease and dust? The feeling of wet cold and dry heat all pressed into you at the same time. The sound of the city drifts away and I stayed there waiting for someone to come and talk to me but all that happened was the clouds went by faster and faster and then the scene changed. The other night I was handed the microphone at a open mic night, I am a very shy person and I can’t seem to figure out what to say, I kept looking at my friend who did this to me and I started to talk about what it’s like to be on the street. I lost track of what I was saying and gave the mic to someone else after about 3 minutes, and I have no idea what I said. Isn’t that weird? later I asked my friend what I said and she said she wasn’t paying attention?
